On Thursday The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a new Book of Mormon video series– similar to the popular Bible Videos series. Filming is anticipated to begin in June 2017 and the first videos are scheduled to be released in 2018.
THIS IS SOOOOO EXCITING!! (Sorry, for my little interjection- but I’m super excited about this!)
The Church is looking for actors and actresses for the new Book of Mormon series. For those who are interested in acting in the series, you can find more information at casting.lds.org. Filming will likely take place in at The Church’s movie set in Goshen, Utah and in other places in North America.
Elder Larry R. Lawrence of the Seventy said
“These Book of Mormon videos will have the same purpose as the Book of Mormon itself—to bring people closer to Jesus Christ..We hope the video library will build bridges of understanding and increase interest in God’s word, which in turn can change hearts and inspire people to live better lives.”
I’m so excited about this! I’m planning to watch every video about The Book of Mormon that The Church produces in this new series. I’m so excited to see reenactments of Nephi building a boat, Christ visiting the Americas, Moroni leading the armies, Helaman and the 2,000 Stripling Warriors, etc.
